Walkthroughs of my HCI research papers

In the spirit of video game walkthroughs, I recorded walkthrough videos to illustrate some of my paper-writing strategies using real examples. These strategies will be most relevant to HCI systems and study papers, but some principles may transfer to other fields too. For more info, check out How to write a good HCI research paper (tips from senior colleagues). Here are the six papers that I used as examples (4 systems and 2 studies):

Porta: Profiling Software Tutorials Using Operating-System-Wide Activity Tracing. Alok Mysore and Philip J. Guo. ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology (UIST), 2018. [Abstract]
(Best Paper Award)
DS.js: Turn Any Webpage into an Example-Centric Live Programming Environment for Learning Data Science. Xiong Zhang and Philip J. Guo. ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology (UIST), 2017. [Abstract]
(Honorable Mention Paper Award)
Bespoke: Interactively Synthesizing Custom GUIs from Command-Line Applications By Demonstration. Priyan Vaithilingam and Philip J. Guo. ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology (UIST), 2019. [Abstract]
Mallard: Turn the Web into a Contextualized Prototyping Environment for Machine Learning. Xiong Zhang and Philip J. Guo. ACM Symposium on User Interface Software and Technology (UIST), 2019. [Abstract]
